A walk! in A small but passable life.

Sunday morning upon awakening I fired up the laptop to see how Ronda’s fight went the night before. Yep, she knocked her opponent out in 34 SECONDS! She said she’d do it and she did. 12-0 right now. Undefeated in her latest career. There’s a video somewhere, I’m sure.

And then there’s her wisdom:

And then I ended up spending the entire day and evening online. A total waste.

Monday I sat and read.

Tuesday I sat and read.

Wednesday I sat and read. Wednesday evening I took the trash can out to the curb.

This morning though I arose and hit the sidewalk early, 8:30am! I walked to the library to return the Krakauer book and found a book waiting for me. Nice! I walked back to the house, put on a pot of coffee and took a shower. I was sitting in my chair with a cup of coffee in my hand at 10:45am. Nice!

And that’s where I’ve been sitting and reading all day. And the evening up until now.

My daughter brought home a Lasko box fan for me to use upstairs. I’d forgotten how loud those things are. I need to figure out exactly where I need to move air from and to. So far the hottest it’s gotten up here was 86 degrees. I don’t know if sucking air out the window and the air being replaced by cool air from the vent will work or not. I thought that using it in front of the vent as a kind of booster fan would work. I dunno. I used to sit in the van until it reached 90 degrees and then I’d go someplace cool to sit. So theoretically, I’m just fine.

I’m hoping that tomorrow I’ll be able to find Jon Stewart’s last show online to watch. I’m sure tonight’s sure to be dumbfuckery by the Repubs will be discussed.

So yeah, I’ve got a big fat non-fiction book to read.
