Day 28 in NoJoMo13

Today I'll be cooking an entire thanksgiving meal all by myself. This is a first. I've always had my mom doing the majority and I've just helped so I'm hoping I learned enough from her in 30 years to pull this off.

Turkey was a bit of a pain and I had hoped it would be more flavorful, but it was moist and not overcooked. I burnt the bottom of the stuffing and yams but other than that everything was times well and turned out good. Chris's mom did end up stopping by, I guess he called her at the last minute and told her it was ok for her to come by. She had a small plate and visited or a bit and just left to see some friends.

I don't know if Chris has tried contacting his sister at all. Dave came over and the two of them messed around in the studio for awhile while I was cooking. Dave did help out in the kitchen some, which was nice. There's lots of dishes for Chris to clean and I have work tomorrow, so I hope by the time I get home the kitchen will be clean. Right now dessert is in the oven and we're watching Pacific Rim. I think it's been a nice thanksgiving but I'm worn out and ready to put my feet up.
