Busy, kinda. in A small but passable life.

I know I’ve said I won’t talk about politics, but come on! Seventeen republican morons now in the race. And that fucking scumbag Trump leading in the polls?
And Clinton obviously a corporate shill.
Say what you will about Bernie and what a turncoat he’d probably turn out to be if elected, like Obama, but he seems to be the only sane one in the crowd of contenders.
Anyway, I managed to actually go outside several times this past week. Tuesday morning I mowed the front yard. Wednesday morning I raked the front yard. And Thursday I walked to the library downtown to check out a book that had arrived for me.
And today I finished reading that book, “Missoula” by Jon Krakauer. I’d recommend the book.
I’ve been watching videos from the World Science Festival. I’m amazed how people from different fields of science can both disagree and agree on a specific point. And how what used to be absolutes are now “maybes” and “sort of”, especially in the field of quantum mechanics.
My daughter had come home with a Margaret Atwood book that I’ve not read. I’d started it but put it aside to read the last book. And I’d put aside the book of science fiction short stories to start the Atwood book. Which means I’ve got two books with bookmarks in them. Which means I don’t really have a reason to step outside anytime soon. I can live with that.
