My period ended Monday night. That was a blessing....moving on.

We went to NC on a quick beach trip for a few days this week. Chloe LOVED the ocean and the beach. She was at peace with the ocean. I feel refreshed watching the waves, I often stand there and cry tears of relief/cleansing. She seemed to feel the same sense of wonder as I do. She laid with her head on my shoulder watching the ocean and listening to the waves crash the first night. She was at peace. She never cried near the water or on the beach. She sat in the sand of the edge and let the water wash over her little legs and up to her chin at times. She just smiled, big sighs and little laughs. She is my child.
She is also tan which is far from my coloring. I put SPF 50 on both of us frequently and she is a bronzed beauty while I am white and red spotted (red where my husband missed spots on my back and my upper thigh). My husband is red as a lobster and sore still- he “doesn’t burn and doesn’t need sunblock.”
We went to a children’s at play museum and to a small aquarium. She enjoyed the museum and dressed up in a lab coat and looked at some x-rays. We took pictures of her for my sister who is an x-ray tech and she LOVED it. She also had a chance to play with toy food, use toy exercise equipment, play on a large stuffed horse, and surf. The aquarium was small but she enjoyed the sea otters and brought home a toy otter we named Ollie for her. She loves to carry him through the house. It was a great trip.
Chloe had her follow up doctor’s appointment today for strep throat and ears. She is negative for strep finally! A month of hell is over in regards to strep but she does still have double ear infections. She is back on medication and will be getting them checked Friday of next week. If she is still suffering, we will discuss tubes in her ears. My poor lil lady is trying to be a trooper but those ears hurt!
We are officially “trying” for baby 2. Meaning we are having unprotected sex (frequently I hope).
My new job begins Tuesday. I’m excited for new teacher orientation so I can meet a few coworkers and find out more about my job!
