you aren’t dead
the jig isn’t up
they haven’t gotten you yet
and that’s amazing

your dreams are alive
as long as you’re breathing
the world hasn’t ended
no matter how much
the apocalyptic give-ups pretend it
and that’s amazing

hope is a longshot
but it’s better than faith
there’s no such thing as magic
but there is real escape
for a while
if you’re really really lucky
and you’re able to put the work in
and that’s amazing
