Personal news

I broke my swimming record this weekend. I did 30, yes 30, lengths on Saturday.

We were due to visit mother in Devon this weekend, but cancelled due to snot and coughing. Thus we spend time on the allotment and pottering. I have harvested raspberries and blackcurrants and made jam. We also had 5 cherries.

The trains are going on strike on today and tomorrow. I drove the car in to the office today.

Exciting news, I volunteered to blog for Atheist Republic, and they replied with, “we would love to have you on our team”. How cool is that? I submitted a very rough, 700 word article written in about 30 minutes, and they seemed to like it. Happy happy happy.

My office operates a “camp Thursday” policy. This tends to manifest itself as a large number of pink shirts, shorts, and flip-flpos. Today however, in celebration of his last Thursday at this company, Jialu has decided to wear a dress. The oddest thing is that no one really seems particularly surprised by it. Things might turn nasty however as his trousers have mysteriously vanished and he may have to go home on the bus in a dress.

I particularly like this story sent to me by friend Dickie. A police officer in New Mexico comes across a naked man who steals his police car. The video is amusing (and SFW).
