What have I accomplished since my last entry, whenever that was?
I finished reading “The Scarlet Gospels” by Clive Barker. It is a horror story. Even though it’s fairly hard to be horrified at something supernatural. A good story anyways.
I finished watching “Continuum”. Three seasons now. At least six more episodes coming later this year.
I finished watching “Orange Is The New Black” or OITNB as the blogs are calling it. I wonder how that is pronounced? Anyway, three seasons so far and it’ll start up again in 2016.
Now I need to peruse my media notebook and find something else to continue watching. Or find something entirely new to add to the book.
I got most of the novels listed on my shelfari and shelved here in the garret. I’ve run out of bookshelf space so I’m once again surrounded by piles of books resting upon the floor.
It has been raining and storming for what seems like a month or more now. And the humidity feels like a living thing, clinging to everything. I’ve been craving desert air. Not Valley of the Sun July air but somewhere above 9000 feet in the Rockies air.
I’ve probably been sleeping in a bit too late in the mornings after too many hours sleep. Call it a bad habit. Call it what you will. I’m old. Not really feeling public opinion much anymore.
So yeah, I’ve got several books on my “Hold” list at the library. And I found two paperback books, here in one of these piles, of collections of Sci-Fi short stories to read while I wait for a book to land at the library. Something to fill the hours with.
I haven’t figured out if this is the real deal or propaganda:
It seems rather 1984ish to me.
