This weekend on the NJ Shore was almost two different times and places. Saturday it rained and Sunday the son shone. Saturday evening I went out to dinner after going to a movie. The movie was 4:45 in the afternoon and I went to see it because the theme interested me. It was a love story of two Senior Citizens , Blythe Dancer and Sam Elliot as the main characters
and co -starred Rhoda Perlman (Cheers ) . I identified so much with the plot and what can be wrong in identifying with Sam Elliot ?

What was wrong about Saturday was that both the Plan A and the Plan B restaurants were closed for the holiday. Plan C tuned out to be a Jersey Shore Icon, Max’s Hotdog on the Boardwalk in Long Branch NJ. I felt the prices were tourist trap inflated. Ripped off....how I hate that.

My companion was Mandy a local Librarian at the Library I have been using since mine was inundated in the Sand Storm. I knew her and her daughter for many years as her daughter also worked there while in College. Mandy’s husband dropped dead suddenly just 2.5 months before Barbara passed. We have had a few recent dates.

Sunday was a great day for the beach. Doris, her two G Kids, Son, wife and visiting non-English speaking wife’s Mom can for the day. It was god and the kids had a great day until the police arrived chasing eve one out of the water. Sharks were sighted about 1/2 mile south of our location .This tuned swimmers into spectators. We soon found out that this was a Sunfish and not a Shark. Still all the local Public Safety people will err on the side of caution since JAWS !!!!!!

Dinner was a BBQ with chicken, London Boil, dogs and burgers. I had prepaid macaroni and green salads Doris’s family left as the 2/12 and the 8 year older

child got sleepy. Doris stayed here so we could take a brisk Beach walk at dusk. Then we had coffee and sat on the deck while I stated a fie in the Fire Pit.
