I was without a computer for a few days and did LOTS of reading!!
1 - Bossypants - memoir by Tina Fey - a quick read. I probably would’ve liked it better if I were a fan
2 - The Time of My Life - memoir by Patrick Swayze - enjoyable and sad
3 - A Private Hotel for Gentle Ladies - very confusing
4 - The Beethoven Conspiracy - by the title’s construction, clearly a thriller - lots of NYC landmarks, lots of Beethoven’s works - enjoyable (had been my father’s book)
5 - A Romance of Two Worlds - Marie Corelli - written in 1898 - I couldn’t get into it, so stopped after only a few pages
6 - Fatal Majesty - a novel about Tudor/Stuart interaction - focusing on Mary Stuart, yet lots of Elizabeth ! in it. Very enjoyable, albeit long.
7 - A Queen’s Handmaiden - also Tudor - for most of the book Elizabeth I was still a princess, not yet a queen, so maybe the title is a bit of a misnomer.
