. I don’t know what got into me yesterday.. Everybody gets down in the dumps but I was really down in the dumps. I had no energy and laid on my couch almost all day. I couldn’t look at my book much less read. I was thinking how reading was a stupid waste of time since I can’t remember anything in the first place. In addition I got very paranoid. I didn’t want to leave my apartment. I thought people were talking about me. It seems funny that depression and paranoia always seem to go together.

Yesterday was really bad. I am feeling a lot better today. Wake up call was 5 am. I got out of bed. First thing I did was pick up my Nook and started to read America’s Constitution: A Biography. I started reading chapter 4. This one is about the President It was called America’s First Officer. I must be better if I can concentrate on this shit.

Fiancé wasn’t having a good day either. She has this virus and it was acting up. Besides that a number of things were bothering her. She has this crazy neighbor who lives across the hall from her. The crazy neighbor yells and screams obscenities Fiancé went to the office and complained about her but nothing much is being done.

Then there is a problem with “Alma.” Alma is another tenant in the building. My fiancé likes to help her out on occasion. Trouble is “Alma” does not appreciate her efforts. Alma can be very nasty at times and treats fiancé like shit. We were talking about it yesterday and I said to fiancé that who should dump Alma. Fiancé said she already has

Yesterday was a shitty day. But always remember the positives. Remember, 1) I have a place to stay. 2) I have clothes to wear.3) I have food to eat.4) I have money for meds 5) I am in fairly good physical health 6) I have books to read. 7) I have phone, internet and cable. 8) I have a wonderful fiancé . I have many, many blessings. Life is pretty good.

Like I said I was reading a new chapter in my book. This one is about the president. The author was contrasting the President under the new Constitution as opposed to the old president of the Articles of Confederation. Under the Articles the president was more or less an honorary titles. He was elected by the Congress and served fort one year. He had no powers whatsoever. The Constitution empowered the president with all the powers of an executive officer of government. In addition he was elected by an electoral college and independent of the legislature.

Well it is time to get back to my Nook.
