More soccer, mowing and cruising in blackpropaganda

I woke up this morning to hear the news that the English women’s soccer team had lost to the Japanese through an own goal just before the end of normal time - a real bummer - and really a fluke - the ball could have flown over the bar - but ti did not - and the player was distraught. I am sure she will pick herself up - you cannot take full responsibility for missing out on the final of the World Cup.
So they stay in Edmonton to play against the Germans for third place - let’s hope they do well in that match.
The media in London -where it was over 35C - think that is the whole United Kingdom! Well let’s be clear, we were cloudy and more like 18C - which was OK - and I managed to mow the lawn. I now have a push mower - no power apart from my muscles - and not the clean cut with stripes you can get with motor mowers - but actually it does the job - and I am really pleased with having a non-manicured lawn - mush better for nature. And I get knackered!
We are now counting down to the big cruise - more news later - but we will be on the ship for 36 days!!! I am not sure we can cope with being in the same cabin all that time - just to say we are looking forward to cruising along the St Lawrence Seaway in August - what clothes should I take?
I have opted for Vodaphone World Traveller which means that any day you use your phone you pay £5 for all the calls etc - what we have to do is tell friends not to text us asking how things are going - if we get a text that is a fiver for the day.As long as we can get the internet at ports of call - unlikely in Greenland! - we should be able to keep in touch enough. If we just have a day a week making calls and texting that should do us. certainly no way I shall be texting pictures!!!
