Current Events in Thoughts On...

First, a big shout out to the Five Supremes who are forward thinking individuals and recognize that our country is being run by antiquated windbags and thus legalized marriage equality throughout our great nation.

Second, no matter how brilliant a prison escape is, there always seems to be that moment of stupidity when you royally fuck up. How could they plan that escape and then get caught some two weeks later in the general area? Seriously, you get into a wooded area and you can walk across the border into Canada. From what I have heard, drug runners do it all the time. A little hair dye, find a cobbler, and they could have been gone forever. Or maybe I watch too many spy type shows, but still. And I would like an explanation on how they got that DNA result so freaking fast. Are they working with the Miami Dade crime lab? Did Horatio put a rush on it?

And finally, I truly do not care about what happens with the confederate flag. I have heard both sides of the argument and I believe there are valid points on both sides. But the flag is not really the issue that needs to be addressed. The issue is the insanely easy access to guns. When written, the US Constitution took into account the type of “arms” they had at the time, not the insane advancement that technology would have in creating automatic weapons that two year olds can operate. They had to load, fire, reload with fucking gun powder! They did not have a thirty round clip and seventeen backups!
