Colic 4? Tuesday, December 16, 2008
Last night was bad. Tonight has been worse. I can't give her anything to help her because she cries too hard. I tried once and she began to choke on it. Talk about panic. My heart has broke a million times tonight. It's so hard listening to your baby cry when there is nothing you can do about it.
She is 2 months old today. Everyone says she has 1 more month left. I pray they are right. If I could, I would pack up everything and go to my parents' house for the last month. However, they live an hour away and I am in charge of feeding fish until the 21st. So in 5 days, I will be packing up and heading there.
I just got done with one of her colic episodes. It's so exhausting. She screamed so loud my ears rang. She cried so hard she could hardly breathe. That happened for 20 minutes straight. She now lays in exhaustion. Her arms are not relaxed so she will probably be up in 20 minutes to start this all over again. My back hurts from holding her and bouncing her.
My parents come tomorrow. Lily has stopped taking a bottle so I will have to be up to feed her. I have a doctor appointment so I pray she doesn't get hungry. I need help at night. She's normally ok during the day. I have no one to help me.
This is so hard.

Hang in there...from everything I've ever hear people say and I've read, this does and, and it's usually smooth sailing after that.

I'll keep you in my prayers and pray especially for a silent night for you! Hang in there. [Ark's Dream] 12/16/2008 9:33:48 PM
I'm so sorry this is so hard for you. Have you tried a pacifier? Have you tried giving her the med or whatever for colic with a dropper, one drop at a time? That is what my mother did with my nephew. Hope I don't offend you, I'm just trying to help and think of things you or others might not have thought of. I'm glad you are going to your parents for some help and relief.

Another suggestion is to use a baby suppository to help her get rid of the gas. We did that too.
