clint and I went to karaoke at armida’s downtown. there weren’t a lot of people there and only like 4 sang. I got to sing 2 songs and I was hoping to get in at least 1. I was so nervous for my 1st one. the 2nd one I did really well. I sang ‘I want to know what love is’ and ‘new York state of mind’. but ya know. I was there to do good make people feel something [cause hey if my vocals aren’t that good then hopefully they feel something] and have a good time. which i did. I had such a good time that I didn’t want to leave. I wish we’d stayed longer but we only have 3 hrs. and also when he went to put another quarter in the meter thingy nothing came of it.
he didn’t sing. but he had fun enjoyed himself. after my first song he’s like ‘that was awesome’. that’s what Pat said to me after I sang it once and that’s partially the reason I sing it. I’ve never told anyone that.
so there was this chick jen there. and she sang. and she was damn good. omygod. she looked so familiar. she was blonde, cute, not the smallest of ladies. i’d never been before. Pat told me about it. she quite liked my singing [well they all did. either that or those people were drunk. well i’ll take it either way]. the karaoke guy didn’t sing and they usually do. I didn’t get a drink. financial reasons. clint did he got a beer. I got water. well they served it. I actually don’t like water. and guacamole. and chippies those are the other things I got. they didn’t charge me for the chippies and all the food was a dollar off. so yeah it was 1.10. clint got nachos. I don’t like nachos. and he gave me his guacamole which he doesn’t like.
it was good to be back. it’d been far too long in my book since I was last at karaoke. omygod I was so excited. it was loud but other than that I liked it. the karaoke guy was nice, quiet. he wasn’t super interactive which was fine. and 2 of the guys at jen’s table also sang and they were good too.
