I’ve seen a few movies lately :)
On Wednesday, I caught up with Moe at Chermside (he calls it ‘germside’, I call it ‘spermside’) to initially watch ‘Tomorrowland.”
That was until we were warned by the cashier that it was a ‘bring your baby’ session, therefore there was every chance we could have screaming kids throughout the film.
“Fuck that,” we both said. Lol!
So we switched films and paid an extra $8 to see a vmax film, “San Andres.”
I’m glad we did. It was pretty good. And it starred The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) and there were cameos from Colton Haynes and Kylie Minogue, so that’s pretty much a gay man’s threesome right there :P
Well not so much The Rick for me, although I’m sure Moe wouldn’t complain.
There was one bit where an Earthquake struck and demolished a building that everyone was standing on the roof of, and I said to Moe, “Aww! What happened to Kylie?”
Without missing a beat, he goes, “She was shocked by the power.”
Lol! Love it.
It wasn’t until after the movie that I saw he’d further commented on our FB check in, “Rocked to her very foundations.”
Bahaha.
I sort of got one back when there was a black chick with an afro stuck on a Hoover Dam bridge, and Moe says, “it’s Macy Gray!”
I said, “She tried to walk away but she stumbled.”
Get it?? :D
I later realised the lyrics further down would have been funnier, so added to the Fb comments, “Her whole world crumbles when she’s not near.”
Ohh, we entertain ourselves.
Yesterday after work, I went and saw “Jurassic World” at Southbank on the massive 25 metre screen. In 3D. For $8.
Sooo much better and cheaper than catching a $5.50 bus (each way) to Chermside, the $16 movie plus $25 for two large coke/popcorn combos at Event Cinemas! ($53 all up).
I sacrificed paying a premium for my richer friends just for the companionship, but on my doorstep is muuuch cheaper. But my friends are mostly way-out-wonder suburban boys where the houses aren’t that extortionately overpriced.
I loved “Jurassic World”. So much. I grew up on these movies and I prebooked it online before work in case it sold out. Turns out I needn’t had to because the cinema wasn’t packed. I was worried it’d be full of school kids being the first 3D session after school got out. Was all good. And I loved it.
I’m just at gym typing this, as I do. Way too early but hey I’m doing pretty well lately. Time gets away on me cycling on the bike while I type here though, but I kinda like killing two birds with one stone.
I have work in an hour and like to leave myself about 20 mins to change and get there in time.
I say I’m doing well because it’s either that or I am stacking on the weight, which I hope I’m not lol. I did get amazed when my scales read that I am now 93kg!
Like, wtf? Remember when I was 70kg and getting upset that my mum kept calling me thin each time she saw me? Next to my bulk-obsessed straight brothers, it was probably increased 10-fold.
It’s nice to feel healthy you know. Well, not so much a rake, I guess.
I’d like to stay around this weight. To think I’m 7kg from three figures is a bit scary lol!
