…which actually, there’s is no one here that really does except for one other person (hopefully one more) knows my inherent love of music.
What they may not know is that I lean more toward ballads, power rock ballads, any slow song that elicits feelings of overwhelming, unrealistic fantasy. LOL I’m just that kind of girl. But it’s not necessarily because I WANT to cry and feel all in love. I just really really like slow music. It gives you time to savor it and absorb whats being said and just feel. I not always in a particular mood to listen to a sad song, but I love them just as much as love songs. Catch me on a karaoke stage near you and I will make you feel me singing. At least that’s what my friend says. She’s always talking about how I stop the room. Meh…I don’t think so, but I know I got pipes.
With that being said, for some reason the song Babe by Styx has been on repeat in my brain for like 2 days straight. That and Rootless Tree by Damien Rice. I think I just like hearing him sing out “FucK Yoooooou!!” with all that passion. It’s a beautifully haunting song about releasing. At least to me anyway.
Anyway, Babe will no doubt lead me to Dance With Me by Orleans (I think that’s their song) which will lead me to Baby Come Back by Player (I think that’s their song) which will spiral into the R&B side of life with George Duke & Stanley Clark’s Sweet Baby. THAT is my jam. “Ooooh it’s you! Sweet Baby. I will never be free from your embrace. Sweet Baby. Always hoping it’s not too late to tryyyy Agaaaaaaain! It’s you! Sweet baby! Ever lost and captured by your smile! Sweet baby. I will always be right there by your side. Right by your side…(guitar riff)”
I’m sorry. I got lost for a second. Sorry.
Anyway. I didn’t have much to say. Finding time between the calls to write.
Hope your day will be productive.
Respectfully yours,
Sister
