50 years on. in The Opening Book.

It is now fifty years since I was watching the tea-time news with Mum and Dad, not the actual news but what was then called a magazine programme – ‘Seen at Six’ It was in the last minutes of the programme one of the presenters appeared holding a sheet of paper, it was the first news of President Kennedy had been shot, the news broke into the following programme with the news that Kennedy was dead. I think every one of my generation remember where they were when the news came through of Kennedy’s assassination ……….
