15-06.05.108 in Book Two: The Fifteenth Year of the Third Millennium of the Common Era

RReluctantly trying to do this on my phone so appologies for typos or repeated letters due to the keyboard. Just wanted tp post this:

On Monday, I sent out all those applications, right? Well… shortly after I sent them all out, the Charles City Private Firm e-mailed me and asked when a good time to call me on Friday would be. He called today and we chatted a bit… here’s what went down.

He got my resume an hour after he offered the job to someone else. However, he kept saying that he was very impressed with my resume and wanted me to know that if the offer he made was rejected or the negotiation process fell apart; I was immediately going to receive the offer.

So… it is a rejection with an attached maybe… not a big deal and I thanked him for the phone call and tried to encourage him not to worry; the nature of hiring is timing and luck. But… this guy’s desire to call, his repetition that my resume was impressive… that was important. Because… at least I know that (on paper) I’m a quality candidate for a job. It is just finding a job that that I can get.
