Caught up! in At the foot of the hill

I’ve been here at least four hours, catching up on all my friends. We were gone for a week, and didn’t take a computer with us. Been busy catching up on dumb things like laundry and shopping the last couple days since we’re home. You all have been busy.

We had a lovely trip and visit with daughter and family. Can’t express the pride I feel for youngest granddaughter whose professional debut as a costume designer was a smash! She was home for two weeks, getting the costumes ready. The opening was a week ago tonight. She left Saturday, back to her college town where she has a job for the summer…and a boyfriend who might just be around longer than the summer.

You may have heard that we are having some of that severe weather here on the Front Range. Nothing too serious at our address so far (knock on wood!) but we are under watches and warnings and I hear thunder as I type.

My art group got canceled this afternoon. I was just about ready to walk out the door when I got a call.

Went to Lowe’s yesterday and got new seat cushions for my deck chairs… the birds and squirrels destroyed the old ones. Yes, even on the third floor deck… I used to encourage the birds, especially, but they wore out their welcome here. I also bought a pot of petunias and a new wind chime/spinner. Now if I could just figure out how to get rid of the big glass-topped table that takes up half my little deck, I’d get one or two little side tables and we could enjoy more time out there…you know how I like my coffee on the deck in the mornings.

I am happy to report that Papa and I are feeling quite well lately. We started taking a new supplement that claims to help all kinds of difficulties. If it only helps one or two of the things mentioned, it’s well worth the price… and we each think we’re better in a couple of categories after just three weeks. Maybe it’s all in our heads, but what difference do that make? If we think we’re feeling better, hey!, we’re feeling better! Right?
