Friday in New Diary

I woke up at 4am. I’ve been readi Stephen King. The book is getting good Other characters in the story include the Saubers. This consists of Pete Sauber, his younger sister Tina and their mom and dad. Tom Sauber worked had a high paying job as a real estate salesman. The mother, Linda, was a teacher. They lived in a nice neighborhood in the unnamed mid west city. But all this changed in 2008 when the country was hit with the Great Recession.

om’s real estate company closed. He lost his job. Linda lost her teaching job but she found a job as a librarian . They were forced to move to a rental house in a low income neighborhood. To make things worse Tom went to a job fair in 2008. It was then when a madman deliberately plowed into a the crowd killing and wounding many people. Tom was left wounded and without the use of his legs .

The Saubers were a happy family. But they found themselves in hard times. This caused tension. There were arguments about money almost every day. Tom, the father couldn’t walk without the use of crutches. He was in a lot of pain and was on pain meds. Linda worried about every penny spent. Iit got so bad they were one fight away from divorce.
Then the boy was out in a wooded area behind the this rec center. He found trunk full of money and manuscripts Remember, I was talking about Morris Bellamey? He was the character who broke into a famous writers home along with two other men. He killed the writer. They stole unpublished manuscripts Well Morris buried his stolen loot behind re rec center in 1978 before he gets sent to prison for another crime. The boy Peter finds the money and what would be very valuable unpublished manuscripts.

There was a lot of money. He mails the money to his parents in $500 monthly allotments. This helps the family get through some rough times and it saves the marriage. Eventually things get better for the Stauibers. Linda gets another teaching job that pays more money than the last one. Tom opens up a business in his home. Also, pain has gone down. He is able to walk better But they are still having financial problems.

I am enjoying this story. It is the second installment in a trilogy of stories . There are a lot of the same characters as in the first Mr. Mercedes .

Well I purchased my NOOK. I should be getting it Saturday. I hope to God I can get it up and running without too much problem. I am kind of worried about that but not too worried Reading a good book helps me keep my mind from dwelling on things When I don’t dwell on things I don’t worry. When I don’t worry I wont get anxious

I have about $62.59 left on my debit card. This will be enough to get some cleaning supplies, pay for my meds and Netflix I will be able to get through the month. I have no worries in that department .

Life is good

I am going out today. Anne and I are going to the new Dollar General store. We need to get some cleaning supplies. I want to pick up a coupe packages of toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing soap, bathroom cleaner and My order should come to about $30.
