Rest In Peace Friday, June 20, 2008
Angie lost her battle today. She is now resting peacefully in a much better place. She has no worries, and no pressure. She's happy now.
Today was a very hard day at work. The whole company was at the main office together talking about how it's better that she's gone to a better place instead of in limbo. Everyone was relieved, in a way. Then before we started going our own ways, we all took the time to hug each other and let the tears fly. Grown men wept. Us girls told each other how much we loved each other. I work for the greatest company on the planet. We are certainly a family. It's incredibly sad and I am hurting. However, it's time to let go and get on with life. I hope I don't sound uncaring, but it's what I personally need. I was very sick yesterday and I can't do this to my baby.
I will miss Angie more than anyone will ever know. I will miss her laugh. I will miss her singing in the office at work. I will miss her jokes. I will miss the way she used to call me a whore. (it was an inside joke) I will miss the way she smiled through her pain. I will miss the way she always was so giving. She never stopped giving. She even gave her organs. She was an amazing person. Beautiful. Giving. Kind.
