The Counter Offer Sunday, June 01, 2008
The owner of the house counter offered. I expected them to, of course. I already knew when they counter offered that I would decline. They countered offered with 55,000 plus pay closing costs. This is a pretty good offer in itself. However, I am goin to decline anyway. The house needs a lot of work, and I think they will change their minds when I decline. So hopefully they do!
If they don't I will lose the house, but I am ok with that. There are so many houses on the market right now I know I can find something else. The only bad thing is that I am kind of in a hurry. I don't want to be 9 months pregnant trying to move!
Oh well, I am leaving it up to fate I guess. The house has been on the market since October 2007 and has had NO offers. The owner lives 2 hours away. I think they will take my original offer. It's just a waiting game. I have to be patient, which is soooo hard for me!!
Monday I will tell them I am not going to take their offer and I am not counter offering. Last time it took only 1 and a half days to counter offer. Hopefully I will know something soon! Wish me luck!

I think you'll end up getting it. People get tired of waiting, and they'll cave.:) I'll be catching up on back entries over the next few days. [angelhair] 6/1/2008 10:28:07 PM
