Windy walking - sunny sauntering in blackpropaganda

This is the first time for a couple of days I have been able to sit down and write an entry - not that I have been doing anything very exciting - just the usual Monday and Tuesday walking groups - trying to get a couple of rooms in order, which means sorting boos, and getting rid of some, and coping with some unpleasant weather.
The worst was yesterday when the group were walking on one of the beaches - we knew it was windy, and coming through the dunes we did not appreciate the strength of the wind - for half an hour twenty minutes we walked with the wind behind us - normally it takes us at least 30 minutes to reach the stream which cuts across the beach and is too wide for us to cross, Then we turned - with the dry sand blowing into our faces, and we had to put the head down and bend into the wind. By the time we got back to the cars we were all knackered - we had only walked for 50 minutes but it seemed a lot more.
Of course we were restored by the coffee and scones in a lovely place - all especially laid on for us eight hardy souls.
Today was so much better - the sun shone for a trip into the city - no need to have a top coat - and what a joy to see young women sporting sweaters with no coats - like bluebells, broom and new leaves the sight of breasts breaking out is always a sign of spring.
And just a couple of weeks before we get some time in Spain - where it is 85F - or 29C - and an opportunity for further bird watching - if you get my meaning.

And a little something
