Gawd, I loved this past weekend!! I loved that it was a nice summer weekend! I had all windows open and it didn’t rain at all. Saturday my cousin, aunt and mom and I went out for a Mother’s Day observed lunch. I always get them flowers and take them out to eat. This year, I was kind of sort of part of it. I know I’m not a mom yet, but it was nice to be “in the club” part way. We went out to eat at the Grafton Inn which is a very quaint quintessential New England restaurant. I had the lobster roll with sweet potato fries yum which was delicious. From there we went around the town common because they were having plantapalooza and then we visited the Country Store. Nicolas, my cousin’s baby is just a little over a month old and I enjoyed holding him the whole time. I was a little freaked out by some of the mucus exchanges I saw of my little 4 yr. old niece, but I’ll spare you those details!! We celebrated Mother’s Day on Saturday because everyone was going back to New York City later that day and would not be home on Sunday.
On Friday night I went shopping with my cousin and I bought a camera for myself and a camera for my mom. The camera I bought for myself was a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H300/B Compact Zoom Digital Camera. I felt it was time I get a nicer camera for when the baby comes and the features are very user friendly and not as intimidating as some others that I tried. I think it’s a good starter camera. I bought my mom the same Nikon digital camera that she had before that she really liked.
On Saturday afternoon after Sy got home from work and after my family left we went to Target and I found a great mirror (actually two) that I bought for our home. I don’t know if I mentioned this earlier, but I am in full nesting mode. I have not even started on the baby’s room yet, but since we moved in last year we spent all summer unpacking, cleaning, taking off wallpaper and painting rooms and buying furniture. We managed to “redo” the 3rd bedroom, which we turned into an office, the living room and the dining room and part of the basement. Since these rooms (minus the basement) were all freshly painted and had all new furniture I was planning of spending the winter on decorating. Unfortunately, this past winter was a drag and I think because we did so much over the summer/fall months I just needed to hibernate, rest and focus on baby dancing. So, before we go to the upstairs part of the house (and by the way downstairs we still need to redo the kitchen and bathroom) I would like to finish the office, dining and living room with decorating.End Tangent Anyway, so we started looking at some canvas pictures and I suggested that instead of buying something we would print some of our landscape pictures on canvas and make our own art. I can’t wait for this. I have been searching for the best Greece beach picture and when I order it I’ll post it here.
Sunday I spent most of the day picking up the house and doing laundry. Sy mowed the lawn and I watered the plants. We grilled burgers and dogs for lunch and decided we would go to a restaurant called Scales for dinner (can you tell that I having seafood cravings…lol). We left around 5 and found that the restaurant was closed due to a family wedding. We decided to go to Wayback burger and have burgers and milkshakes. I posted a picture of our two milkshakes and announced my pregnancy officially on social media. Everyone that I am close to already knew, but I thought it was a nice way to slip it in at the end of Mother’s Day weekend.
Here are a couple of pictures of the preggo belly. Here is a current picture of our milkshakes last night:

16 weeks: I didn’t really take a picture. I was out of work due to really bad pains and after going to the Dr. they made me go to the ER just in case it was something more serious. I’m fine now, but was dehydrated and was having some contractions. I just took Thurs. and Friday off of work and just rested.

I should probably get back to work now. I hope everyone has a great week.

Glad you had a nice mother's day! Can't wait to see what you pick for the baby's room, that's always a fun part of things. And yeah, kids are snot factories. ;)
