Twitter: Survey... Every one else is doing it! in Book Two: The Fifteenth Year of the Third Millennium of the Common Era

Yes, this is longer than an appropriate Twitter Response but… I figured… why not. I may have filled this out before but… oh well. The things I do when I am having difficulty sleeping!

1) Do you like your first name?
I do. Usually, I keep it pretty secret on-line but… just this once… I’ll let slip. One of the reasons I like my first name so much is that it has history and a story. My parents were trying to decide what to name me and they had a list narrowed to three options. My older brother saw the list and got SUPER excited and started chanting “Christopher Robin”. I won’t say which of those two names was given to me; but that is the story of how I got my first name.

2) Have you ever broken a bone? How?
Never. My brother and I are, in many ways, like strange genetic experiments. Shadows of one another, in many ways. He broke bones… I got the weird illnesses and stitches.

3) Name something you know now that you wish you would have known when you were young?
Oh… heavens! This is me, dude. I’m obsessed with Time Travel (especially Stein’s Gate style) because I would love to know everything I know now, but back when I was around 5. If I had to limit my response to ONE message (like… I could send one short text message back in time)… I would have encouraged a near LUDICROUS level of frugality. Because cram the feel-good bull; there really is nothing money cannot buy, improve, or assist. I know that sounds horrid but think about it honestly… having money makes things easier.

4) What’s your favorite song from a Disney movie?
Damned near impossible to answer! But… the ones that always spoke to me FAR too much were “Reflections” from Mulan and “The Distance” from Hercules. So… yes, songs about finding yourself and doing whatever it takes to succeed.

5) Are you a cat person or a dog person?
Like… religiously a dog person. I love dogs and any day that passes where I don’t see a dog, I’m a little sad for it.

6) What color is your bedroom painted? Did you choose it?
White and no.

7) What’s your favorite holiday?
I’d usually say Halloween but current body issues and self-esteem problems have kind of cramped that hardcore. So… any holiday where the family gets together… and I mean family… not just wife and I; not just wife and I and parents; not just wife and I and parents and siblings… I mean… those rare holidays where even the aunts/uncles/cousins come out. THOSE are good holidays.

8) What’s your earliest memory?
I was either early-stage toddler or late-stage infant; it was the earliest hours of morning and I couldn’t sleep… I was wailing my head off. So my mother took me into her arms, brought me downstairs, sat rocking in the old wooden rocking chair she’d received from her parents and turned on the Disney Channel. On the TV was the black and white opening to the television show Zorro. That’s what I remember. That is my earliest memory.

9) Have you ever seen the Northern Lights?
I don’t think so. My dad tried to point out where they should be when we’ve visited Canada, but I don’t think I ever saw them.

10) What’s your favorite junk food?
Yes please. lol. Oh gosh… fast food, because I’m obsessed with the convenience; Pizza because it is damned tasty

11) What current event or political/social issue are you most interested in?
Too many. I have a list of Bullshit Asshole Fuckery that needs to STOP being partisan and START being something everyone comes together to find solutions for. Right now? Namely- education, mental health, and civil defense.

12) Which season do you like the best? Why?
Autumn… because it isn’t quite winter but it is still cold enough that I can go outside without bursting into over-heated flames.

13) How much time do you spend on Facebook every day?
Way way way way way way way way way way way too much

14) Do you have any quirky habits that you’re aware of?
I’m sure there are a ton; but I’ve had ‘em for so long that I would need someone to point them out to me.

15) What’s the last TV show you watched?
Bob’s Burgers

16) Did you have any dreams for the future as a kid that you’ve now given up on?
LOADS! I always wanted to be either an actor or a lawyer. Quit on the acting thing because the environment can be downright toxic. Still holding out hope that I can be a good father and husband but… what I realize now that I didn’t back then… is that to be a good father and husband isn’t just “This is my job and I’m doing it” but does take some give-and-take from your partner.

17) Which sandwich would you rather have:
PBJ sounds right for my current mood; but the weather has been insane out here lately so… grilled cheese may be more appropriate

18) Have you ever had a pet fish?
I am awful at fish whenever I’ve had them. My brother and father are AMAZING at fish.

19) Were you afraid of monsters under the bed when you were a kid?
No lie… I was the weird kid who decided “If monsters are going to live under my bed, then I’d better make them feel at home and start a dialogue.” I turned the monsters in my closet (they were a family) and the monster under my bed (giant Pteranodon with a broken wing) into imaginary friends

20) How many boyfriends/girlfriends have you had in your life?
I have “dated” (so not gf/bf) 11 women (including my wife). Of those, any that lasted longer than a few months? 4, including my wife.

21) If you could have an all-expense-paid one-week vacation to anywhere in the world starting today, where would you go?
Goodness, I could only go to one place? Cuz… the wife and I have such a long list of places we’d want to see! The United Kingdom or Japan

22) Do you have a favorite board game (or, have you at some time in your life)?
It is silly but I still really like “Defenders of the Realm” but… hell, I’m still a board game nut!

23) If you could travel through time, but in only one direction, would you rather see the future or the past?
It all depends with which theory and mode of time travel is selected. If it is consciousness travel, I’d go to the past. If it is physical travel… I’d go future.

24) What’s your guilty pleasure?
All my fatty foods and lazy habits

25) Are you old enough to remember when M&M’s had everyone vote for a new color (pink, purple or blue)?
I remember but I did not vote

26) Have you ever dyed your hair?
Several times for plays or Halloween costumes… once to look like Spike from Buffy. I still have photos of that around here someplace… I should upload them to here sometime, lol

27) What time of day do you feel like you have the most energy?
Never? It always depends on every possible combination of coincidental circumstances

28) What’s your ringtone?
Nothing special. On my old phone, everyone had a specific personalized ringtone. Now that I’ve been forced to make the Smart Phone advance… sod it. The phone is too bloody complicated as it is to add on personalized ringtone crap.

29) Do you sing along with the music you listen to in the car?
Almost always, usually unashamedly

30) Do you consider yourself a logical person who follows your mind and common sense, or an intuitive person who follows your emotions and gut instincts?
Very tough because honestly, both. My emotions exert a subtle, often unconscious power over my choices and lifestyle; but most of my direct and conscious choices are made through logic
