Yes, we do have snow. Not so much as they predicted, but the ground was warm enough that a lot melted before day light. The sun is trying to peek out now, so we may have to cancel the snowball fight that I challenged Mike to in celebration of Mother’s Day.

We are a little disappointed because our oldest grandson was supposed to graduate from college yesterday, but when all things were tallied up, he was short a couple of credits. Too bad. True, he did have too much fun that first year. True, he did hop from major to major, thus losing credits. True, school was never easy for him. True, he got by with a lot of stuff on good looks and charm. I feel bad for him though, because he did finally buckle down and try really hard… He starts work in a restaurant this week and will stay in the college town and GET THOSE CREDITS. A few months in the real world may help him get focused on what he really wants to do with his life.

His dad says he probably won’t come home for Mother’s Day (and his mom’s birthday) because he’s “hiding out.” I wrote him a PM and told him that Papa and I are proud of him and wished him luck at his new job… He wrote back and thanked me. As long as he tried his best to make it, I have to be proud of him.
