what is life if not imperfect
i saw you and you were worth it
but now alone i feel so worthless
like i’m too good for you
but also you’re better than me
to believe that i could be for you
or maybe i will be and certain winces are but a chip
in an ancient roman statue that no one thinks is any less beautiful because of it
in fact, those imperfections are what betray its authenticity and all the wars and times of peace that brought it here to you
are perhaps more important than any aesthetic.
