Maybe. in A small but passable life.

I finally got the sarong http://www.amazon.com/Sarongs-Celtic-Sarong-Interlace-Knotwork/dp/B00IV54W8W/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1430581735&sr=8-7&keywords=men%27s+sarong from Amazon. And the Moleskine reporter’s notebook. Jassy had clicked through too fast when she ordered and it was sent to her so she had to mail it here.

But since I haven’t been to the pool for a few days I haven’t used the sarong yet. Too hot to go to the pool during the day? Yeah, crazy.

I did go to the library early yesterday morning to return the last three books. I drove because the library is 4.4 miles away. I thought that the library opened at 8am. Nope. Not until 9am. I didn’t feel like hanging around outside so I dropped the books in the outside return slot and came back.

And that meant that I spent all day yesterday without a book, and just dinked around on the laptop all day and evening.

I watched the latest episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” and the movie “Interstellar”. I think that will be enough media for a bit. Pretty powerful stuff.

Jassy called with good news about the van. The problem was what we’d decided it was. The fuel pump. Somewhere along the evolution of the Chevy van they moved the fuel pump on the 350 cubic inch motor from the block to on top of the fuel tank. Why? Who knows. I used to be able to swap out a fuel pump on the old 350’s in less than an hour for about $35 for the new pump. Now? Jassy said it was $60 for the diagnosis and about $400 to replace the fuel pump. The van should be out of the shop this evening. She is going to wait on the oil change because she wants me to show her how to do it herself. She helped me change the oil and filter once while we were out at the river, but this time I’ll let her get her hands dirty. It’s pretty simple and takes about 15 or 20 minutes. Easy, peasy.

The Valley of the Sun did warm up to 101 degrees yesterday. But like I said, I didn’t venture out after that early morning errand. Now I know why this RV park has already turned into a ghost town, with everybody already pulled out and headed north or up higher.

I’m next, just three more weeks.

9:09am right now and it’s 78 degrees here and it’s two hours later and 68 degrees back home.

I still have a few little projects to do for Mom. I just need to get out of this chair to do them.

And hopefully I can get to visit my little sis before I fly back home. Mom has been trying to get a hold of her for a couple of days now but hasn’t got a call back. Oh well.

So yeah, I need to get up and do something constructive.

Maybe.
