More Pee in My this and that

Last night I got home from a long day away (first work, then straight to a birthday party). I snuggled my Jake Cat and then fed him, and then my husband snuggled him as well. Then hubby went to the store and I went to bed.

As I was getting all nestled in, I grabbed my book for a bit of unwind time, and I started smelling something funny. Right before I had gotten into bed I had pulled out our fan and turned it on, so I figured it was just dust in the fan or something.

But no. It smelled weird. And my cat was beside me and I looked at him and he had a weird expression and I went to pet him and realized he had peed on the bed! Like a HUGE spot! And I am so frustrated. I thought we were done with this! It soaked through my duvet, into the sheets, and into the mattress cover. PRAISE GOD for the mattress cover, because it saved our mattress.

I’m so disappointed and frustrated. So much for going to bed early. I stayed up and tried to clean each piece of bedding… spending the most time on the duvet of course, but we’ll have to take that to the laundromat to find a big enough washer to wash it in. Ben stayed up and washed the duvet cover, and now I have more laundry to do tonight.

So… it’s not like we don’t leave him alone for lengths of time like this regularly, cause we do. And we made a point to give him attention, and his litter box is fairly clean… I don’t know why he would do this.
