It was time to buy a new pair of pyjamas - or so SW.. reckoned - and so we went into the large Marks and Spencers and looked a round. As far as I can see they do not sell mens’ pyjamas - but mens’ loungewear!.
In the old days you had a pyjama jacket and trousers - the latter tied with a cord, and with an open fly which made peeing at night easy - and could provide a frisson of interest when your penis slipped out of the hole while sitting around.
Now it is t shirt and shorts - and very comfortable too - but I miss the easy access. So I got a pair, much like these

I guess somewhere they do have the old style - and I really should find some - because if you go into hospital any time t short and shorts would be useless.

This was the end of a trip to a gourmet dinner on Friday night - where we stayed over in the hotel - and then did lots of things on the way back home.
How about this for a dinner menu - I had seared salmon as a starter, followed by a ginger and ginger beer sorbet, duck breast as the main course, a cheese board of excellent cheeses, as dessert a plate of three different kinds of sweets, followed by coffee served with petits fours.
We started with a champagne reception (three glasses!). an Alsace white wine with the starter, a White Burgundy or Rioja for the main course and cheese (or a glass or two of both), a sweet wine with the dessert, and a brandy with the coffee.
In our room, in a bed which would have taken three at least I fell straight to sleep and then woke up after four hours de-hydrated and with a slight headache! And tossed a round a bit dozing for the rest of the night.
Felt fine enough in the morning to have my big breakfast - which set us up for the drive home. I just wondered if the residue of alcohol in my system would have been near the limit!
We went to an art exhibition and tool nice detours on the way home - and had a very light meal (but with a glass of wine!!)
This morning I feel refreshed after a good night sleep!!!!

Oh, and another dinner out on Tuesday!!!!

And just to say how terrible the Nepal earthquake is - well over a thousand deaths and many more to be discovered - and yet the media are making much of the climbers on Mount Everest who were caught up in an avalanche caused by the quake. Somehow it is easier to identify with them (mainly Europeans).

And hold yourself ready for the royal birth!

Hey I never mentioned the election - bugger, I just did!
