yeah so I got my new glasses on um. the day before yesterday. apparently I look cute in them. and I can see so that’s obviously a good sign. yeah good plan. you don’t realise how bad your vision is until you try on new glasses and then it’s like omygod I can see. [well better I mean I always could see].
yeah so in Amsterdam we [my mom & i] went to the van gogh museum, the rembrant house museum and the rihjksmuseum [said ‘rikes musem’ for those who don’t know/understand dutch]. and on the walls they have writing which is only like an inch to 2 ins. high. but I hadn’t gotten my new glasses yet so I was still wearing the ones I had. but I still had to be not a foor I in front of the writing in order to read it. the starbucks menus have that too. like I said it’s partially that. and also my god have I always not been able to see?
I liked the van gogh better than the rembrant. I like his work better. my mom likes the bedroom painting of van Gogh’s bedroom. well she likes it the most. I like it too. we spend 2 - 3 hrs. at the other museum and we were only on the 1st floor. well actually over there the ground floor isn’t the same as the 1st floor. so it’s ground floor and then what people in the states/I call the 2nd floor.
oh so we went to. well a long time ago it’d been a theater for stage productions. and then it was just a jewish one. and then it became a holding place for the jewish people before they went to be murdered. and now it’s a museum. it was sad. the anne frank house was sad too where we stayed wasn’t too far from it. we went to another house museum type place. I don’t remember the name of it but it’s on harengracht where we were staying [for those familiar w/ that area].
