TGIT – Volume 1 Issue 2: The Dead Issue in Thoughts On...

Grey’s Anatomy

Well done. Spend the first half of the episode with Derek tending to the injured from a very horrible car accident. Have everyone survive and be sent off to the hospital, but don’t have Derek escort any of them as the doctor because that would make what happens impossible. Instead have him get in his car, make a U-turn or half of one, stop in the middle of the road/highway, then reach down for his phone and BAM get hit by a semi! Or Semee as the EMT called it. Then have him taken to some Podunk town hospital where they have zero clue how to practice medicine and have Derek narrate it and realize that he is going to die. Then have Mer in pure doctor mode deal with shutting things down.

Tugged a little at the heart strings. Played right, this could change the tides for GA. But will they change the name to Grey-Sloan-Shepard Memorial? Or just name a wing after him?

Scandal

How did Russell get Jake’s body onto the conference room table & not have blood EVERYWHERE? Seriously Jake would have been “dead” weight? So how did he get him up there and all displayed out and Jake still survived? Also, that many stab wounds & Rusty didn’t “accidentally” hit any major arteries? Wouldn’t B613 training make it a point to teach one how to stab effectively? And, when did Huck get his MD license? He looks at him, takes his temperature & then hammers his chest (in which Jake had a punctured lung) and “revives” him. Then apparently after everyone convened and discussed the “trial” they get Jake into the Mystery Machine and off to some secret underground hospital and call upon of the Red’s targets to fix Jake. And Dr. Rusky doesn’t come with any sort of anesthetic or even a piece of leather to bite down on, but does come with IVs, oxygen & monitors?

I wasn’t really concerned with the back stories (Mellie’s run for senate & Cy’s complete teen girl jealousy or Granny Killer\Spy).

While Jake is recuperating from underground surgery, Rusty gets popped in the arm by Papa Pope & calls Liv/Alex and she takes him to Grey-Sloan-Shepard Underground to be fixed up by Dr. Rusky (who is kind of pissed off at the death of his friend? & leaves). OPA decides to end B613Gate & Rusty reports back to Papa Pope but not before Jake realizes who he is & tries to fight him off but then the crack medical staff of GSS Underground thwarts his mission. After reporting to Papa Pope, Rusty heads over to LivALex’s house where she puts on her best LaPerla & grinds on him before pulling a gun on him & demands he tells her all about Foxtail. Dum Dum Dumb!

I can just imagine Shonda Rhimes sitting up one night thinking: “I am going to kill a fan favorite hottie hunk.” Then spinning her wheel of death and it lands on McDreamy. Then she thinks “Well what if I “kill” Jake first after teasing that Derek is dead, then have the people believe Derek is alive and well only to kill him at the end, then in the next hour to save myself, I will miraculously raise Jake from the “dead”!” Then cackles evily.
