I was at a lose end tonight, I’ve been watching ‘Last of the Summer wine’ of late but I felt I needed something else to entertain my tonight, after a rumble in one of my boxes of DVD and Blu-rays; it came to a chose between ‘A Room with a View’ or ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’

I didn’t need to flick a coin, I still felt I wanted some fun and humour so I sat down to a British gem of a film that cost less than £3,000,000 to make and bought in over £150,000,000 ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’

I think that box of entertainment had been over looked for a while, hence I hadn’t seen the film for some time and the film felt rather new to me, and I found myself leafing at things I had forgotten, like Charles finding him self on a table in the second Wedding with his old girlfriends.

The other part of the film that moved me was the death and the ‘Funeral’ of Gareth, I suppose it is the contrast with the rest of the film, and the reality of the death and the Church service cut though the first section of the film, and after that the humour is under cut by the arrival of Carrie at the wedding of Charles and Henrietta.

For a film made in 1994 Four Weddings and a Funeral has hardly aged.
