Not quite Monday yet, and we have had a quiet weekend, Lola had her social-dog class on Saturday and both Lola and Ziggy had the agility classes. We’ve only the Mini is with the dealer – thank goodness the car was reasonably new and had time left on the warranty – saving us some money. With just the one car I took Daughter and Ziggy for his beginners class, he came away fifteen minuets early so I could get him back home with enough time, so Sweetheart could get Daughter and Lola for her class. It worked ok but it would be nice to have the car back by next weekend. Next weekend there will be a raft of Doctor Who programmes, he might be 900 years old but it is the calibration of 50 years of Doctor Who, the day is the 23rd of November and it marks 49 years and fifty one weeks since I first watch the Doctor. The 23rd of November 1963 was the day after President Kennedy assignation, with some much extra news going on that the new programme was rather over looked, those who had seen it liked it so the following Saturday episode one was repeated before episode two; now it is the BBC’s best earner ….. The last week was rather mixed weather wise, one day mild the next cold, so we have begun having the fire lit some days, on one or two nights we got it wrong, a fire on a mild night; the evening I was watching ‘The Science of Doctor Who’ with Professor Brian Cox – one time keyboard player in rock band ‘Dare’ It was a good programme, the Prof having fun with well known scientists, about a third way through the heat got the better of me, all of a sudden the programme was finishing; thank goodness it was being recorded on our digital box. That box will be busy over the next day, we’ve got ‘The Science of Doctor Who’ recorded, there is a two-hour programme tomorrow about the history of, and on Saturday it will be recording for hours I should think – it’s the day of the Doctor!
