I've written, however short the entry might have been, for 17 days strait. I am pretty certain that's a record for me.
I've been reading a ton of entries on PB, the past two days, almost all by people I have never read before. Most are fun reads, interesting and I enjoy the tiny peek into someone's life and mind. Some of them have gotten me thinking about how people allow others to treat them like shit and they just can't seem to stand up for themselves.
I mean, like I'm one to judge, I used to allow similar situations in my life. Maybe it's experience or age that's gotten me to the point in my life that I can recognize my own boundaries and have no problem putting my foot down and not allowing others to disrespect me or walk all over my standards and morals. Is that what it takes? I don't know because I've known people who even well past the age of 50 still just can't seem to do this and are constantly making excuses for others.
This just blows my mind.
