Handicap parking & NPR in A small but passable life.

We were up at 6am. Mom took a quick shower.
“Do you need to use the bathroom before I get in there?”
“Nah, I’m fine.”
I realized after she got in there I should have gone for it. Good thing there’s all these half liter empty water bottles everywhere.
I parked in another handicap spot and listened to NPR while Mom went inside and didn’t emerge for a little over an hour.
Mom was ready for breakfast by then. We had spotted a Mom and Pop place called Mickey D’s earlier and decided to try it. It was busy and very good. Service was fast and good and the breakfast was great.
We stopped at the store and got everything on our list and not much else. The last stop was the library where I went in and grabbed the two novels.
We were home by 10am.
I packed up for the pool and walked over. I stayed there until 1pm. Unlike yesterday the sky was free of clouds and it was slightly warmer.
After a shower I continued reading at the house. I managed to get 163 pages read today. It sure feels good to have a book in my hands. It’s been nearly two months. Crazy.
Jassy called and we chatted for a bit. I sure miss her. Especially since I have no idea when I’ll see her again.
Tomorrow morning I’m going to head to the fitness room first thing. Gah. I haven’t decided if I’ll come back for coffee before heading to the pool or not.
Mom has a doctor’s appointment at 1pm tomorrow. And that should be the end of chauffeuring for a while.
Oh yeah, according to the scale here I’ve lost about ten pounds between leaving here and my return. That was probably due to the restrictive diet and the twenty-nine trips down and back up the hill for water during my month in the woods.
