First weekend of the show is done, all we have left is the week (excluding Monday) and then Saturday and it’s over. I feel sad already.
Today I overheard our stage manager and director talking about me (clearly not knowing I was here). It was a very positive conversation and it made me happy. They said they thought the way I took my bow was cute.
We had a lot more problems at the matinee today than we did on opening night but it wasn’t a big deal. Our audience wasn’t as strong, either. I made my first notable screw up in a while but Satan covered for it nicely. Nobody got me confused with Jesus tonight so that’s always a plus.
Part of me is looking forward to have a nice day of rest tomorrow. I can only appreciate this day of rest because the play has consumed such a good chunk of what would normally be my free time. More than likely, though, within an hour after waking up I’ll be bored and wish I had a show that night.
The director said she was thinking about getting her mfa in directing and if so that she would keep me in mind for any future shows she directs. :-D
