Booking sport with a small dick in blackpropaganda

As regular readers (Sid and Doris Bonkers) will know we have a small apartment in Spain which we go to three or four time a year - and is used by the family over the summer when we find it too hot. We were there in January for 10 days which was good - and we need to go out before the summer - but there has been a problem about when airlines start flying more regularly into our local airport - and what our plans are. The loner we leave it the dearer the fares - but SW… was not sure when to go - and it was preying on my mind that we need to book. I also find it a bit stressful booking on line and trying to get everything right.
So today I asked the question - when are we going - shall I book - and twenty minutes later we had booked - two weeks from the end of May - hoping that the French air controllers’ action will have got sorted by then!
I can rest easy - well for a week or two - there was no way we could go in April since we have four things on, at least each week, including three meals out - one a gourmet dinner - and goodness knows what else. Anyway - I have done my bit and paid the money - I have yet to book a car - but can only do one thing in a day.
Are other people as paranoid as me?

Back to the cold winds and showers today - and it will be chilly on the Thames for the University Boat Race - a sporting event which is all part of the ‘British tradition’ the sort of thing immigrants need to know about before getting Btitsh citizenship. Invariable the mens’ crews are made up of Americans ‘studying’ at Oxford or Cambridge - but at least the ladies’ crews ar rowing on the same course today.
Another British institution - The Grand National - the steeplechase - precedes it. And to finish the weekend the Augusta Masters Golf where men of colour, apart from Tiger Woods, serve the drinks and was sold on the likelihood of Rory McIlroy getting all four majors - well, it looks like a young Yank will win his first and young Rory will have wait for another year. I hate the way these events are sold on tv - especially golf which is a far from exact science. Still, when you need advertisers who pay vast sumes of money you need to find a hook to get people watching.
No one seems to be offering horizontal jogging as a spectator sport though - now I would enjoy that.
