Happy Easter in Another Open Diary refugee

I haven’t felt like writing in a seperate diary lately… sorry about that mama. Hope everyone has a happy Easter… we went to the 9am church service and were surprised to find it outside - good thing I had my walker because the path to the worship area is super rough and I couldn’t have managed it with just a cane. I’ve been using the walker again this week - I overdid things and my back gave out halfway around the grocery store, so two days rest it was, and the walker came out the closet. Guess it taught me a lesson - BABY YOUR BACK! And especially DO NOT LIFT HEAVY STUFF! I bought us a lovely garden bench and I’m not sure how we’ll get it put together, because it was dragging the flatpack box out of the car and into the house that messed up my back - but it will be nice when it’s done. The box is sitting in the living room waiting, and Tessie scared the crap out of herself in the middle of the night when she tried to get behind it - she trapped herself under the loveseat because it fell over right against the back of the love seat and she couldn’t squeeze out past it. We heard her crying pitifully when we woke up this morning, and John let her out of her prison… but she wasn’t hurt, just a bit scared. Maybe it’ll teach her a lesson about messing with things that aren’t hers…

Anyway, back to church this morning… we nearly went to the dawn service because we had a fairly crappy night and we were awake at 6.30 this morning - but I grabbed the church bulletin to check the time and the service had already started, so we went back to sleep and waited for 9am. Good thing too - that last two hours of sleep was the most restful we had all night! I was surprised that church was outside… but it was LOVELY weather except for the midges, and towards the end of the hour the sun came up over the treetops and it was suddenly hot. So we made our exit right after we took Communion and got Dunkin Donuts for Easter breakfast… Ham and sweet potatoes and a Pudding Pie later today. Hope everyone has a peaceful day.
