25 years can pass in the blink of an eye... in Who I am...

On November 18, 2014, Lady Wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. (It was actually 32 years together, as we have been a couple 7 years prior.) We celebrated in our favorite restaurant in Venice, of course, Bistrot de Venise.

We arrived to a table strewn with rose petals and crystals, with the staff dressed in full livery to mark the occasion.

For dessert, they sent out one of their works of art.

While we were there, we had a few incidences of acqua alta, where the high tides cause flooding in low-laying areas of the city. Many people find it inconvenient, but true Venetians actually enjoy it, and don’t let the water interfere with life. We put on our Wellington boots and splashed our way through the Piazza San Marco. It makes you feel like a big kid again.
