A Giant Chocolate Bunny? in Everyday Ramblings

I am not sure you can easily get the scale here but what appears to be a chocolate bunny near the trunk of the tree there has got to be at least 5 feet tall with the ears. How could that be? Do they actually make chocolate bunnies that big? And who would put one in their yard?

Anyway, it is a fun festive (if washed out) shot.

Speaking of washed out… I have been sleeping every spare minute for the last four days or so. I have some sort of mystery ailment. Hopefully it is only the tail end of the virus that has been going around these parts.

That is what the young doctor I saw yesterday hopes it is too, but just to make sure I am going to have yet another biopsy a week from Friday. I will be glad to have that behind me. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t infectious for anyone, my students or the patients up on the unit.

That is my excuse for not noting most of you. My inner pony will be most grateful when she feels ready to get out there and trot again but in the meantime I am moving slowly through my days and matching what I am teaching to that.

Early on in my Monday night class this week my students were trying something (that didn’t feel difficult to me) and laughing at me, saying, “Yeah… Right!!!” when I moved them into a low lunging twist. One of them asked “So this is the hard pose right?” They are convinced I give them one really really hard pose per class.

The interesting thing to me as a teacher is that I never know what that is going to be.

Every pose is hard for somebody. We all have different capabilities. What I love is that that they are learning body awareness and are curious. Why is my shoulder restricted when I do this, and not when I do that? Perfecto!

Even with body awareness it is hard to know what is going on, as we are so complex.

That has been the case for me this week. It took me days to realize that what is going on is hormonal in nature. Who knew?

Anyway I need to wrap this up and get back to work and then tonight I am off to my fish and seafood cooking class.

Mostly I just wanted to share the outsized Easter cheer.
