Musical in In the Meadow

This weekend was Kayla’s musical. The show was “The Music Man” and the performances were Friday and Saturday evenings. Kayla was in the chorus. The shows went very well. I was a little worried. With twelve to fourteen year olds, things can be very unpredictable. The kids did really well with their lines, and the musical numbers sounded great. If you’ve seen “The Music Man” you know it involves wearing a lot of hats. All the hats stayed on. Kayla was nervous this past week but by Friday she really wasn’t nervous anymore. I think she felt prepared.

My parents and my husband’s parents came for the performances. Kayla was thrilled to have her grandparents there. With all the parents and grandparents, there was a good size audience. Some of the teachers came also.
