[everyone relax....a poem regarding observations on the world around us.... not some disconcerting tale of personal woe]
suffer us who sees the light
dim to dark and never bright
flesh and blood we mingle here
embrace the pain and have no fear
silver blade brings red to black
the thoughts inside for moments lack
skin usurps the inner pain
echoes back begins again
dreams in youth gone long ago
pain is all we wish to know
secrets now is ours to keep
pray to god our soul to reap
lost the strength to stop our breath
life the never-ending death
morbid orb to never die
tears of blood in which we lie

I guess everyone will read and interpret these words differently, dependent on their personal preferences and experiences; but to me these two lines perfectly encapsulate the relief/shame cycle of self-injury..
The first image is my favourite, striking but hauntingly beautiful.
