Quite warm for a cold patch, we have had a couple of Cornwall’s soft day’s, those are the days we need an umbrella; that a part all we needed was a fire in the hearth!
The sad moment of last week was the death of Sir Terry Pratchett, his passing is great loss to family and his many fan’s, and at the same time it was a release from the Alzheimer’s disease he had since 2007.
After Terry Pratchett passing those books remain, long after the 12th of March 2015 people will discover the fun of reading a Terry Pratchett book; the lucky people are those who open a any Discworld book for the first time.
I think it is better with a few Terry Pratchett quotes ….
“It is possible to live well with dementia and write best-sellers ‘like wot I do.”
May 2014. The time his condition was worsening.
“If my father could have sat up in bed and said goodbye, I’d have pressed the button. I wouldn’t have been able to see for crying, but I would have considered that a duty.”
“There are times when phrases such as ‘totally astonished’ just don’t do the job. I am, of course, delighted and honoured and, needless to say, flabbergasted.”
When he was made Sir Terry.
