Since the water was repaired inside my house I was very alert especially at night listening for the sounds of a drip inside the walls. So far it looks as if I have managed to escape the worst of frozen piping which is inside the walls leaking.
John my sponsee has left this area and moved into the basement of a friend. I had mixed emotions but feel it is for the best. His priorities were on defeating his depression and his anxiety attacks. I sincerely wish him well but in some ways his problems were becoming a threat to my sobriety., It is for the best I hope.
Next Monday night my Home Group of AA has out monthly celebration. Since the Sandy Disaster and our displacement the group has shrunk to about 25 members. This group is very resilient and extremely close knit however and has a strong base of sober members. For example for the March Celebration we have 6 people celebrating all men. One 27 years, 2 26 years , one 25 years, one 24 years one 19 years for 148 years total. March is always the Month that AA gains the most members easily eclipsing January and New Years. My fellow Group Members and I share close and strong bonds.
I went on a Speaking Commitment last Sunday back to my old home town of Jersey City and it was a fun thing to do. I had brought Bill with me, a newbie, and let him do his first speaking commitment and he did well. I
I am now getting the itch and this weekend I will get a started kit and start growing some plants for the garden.
