If you are gluten-intolerant
by all means do what you need to be healthy
but that doesn’t mean you should convert
those who are not
to stop eating gluten as well.
It is not cool to be a War Pope against gluten
it is not cool to lead a gluten inquisition
burning us as witches if we like spaghetti
I’m sorry that you can’t have spaghetti
but that doesn’t mean you can pretend
that it’s bad for me too
that this is a Polynesian island
and you are the Mormon Missionary of bread hate.
I’m gluten-tolerant.
Do not be gluten-tolerant-intolerant.

Just because it works for you
doesn’t mean you should tell everyone to do the same.
It might not work for them.
Do not be gluten-tolerant-intolerant.

It might be a coincidence,
you might be seeing benefit
for indirect or totally unrelated reasons!
Do not be gluten-tolerant-intolerant.

Scientists without bias
and years of research
will tell us actual truths,
we are all ourselves anecdotal at best
and at worst apocryphal.
Do not be gluten-tolerant-intolerant.

Fuck Trader Joes
fuck Trader Joes
fuck Trader Joes
and the gluten-free non-vaccinated horse it rode in on.

And pass the spaghetti!
