Weather - temp a balmy positive 13, humidity 82%, wind 5 mph from the northwest. Clear.

The moon is big and bright out side my west windows. According to the calendar we get a full moon on the 5th.

Humidity is relative to the temperature. As the temperature gets colder the air can hold less moisture. So when the temp is 13 and the humidity is 82%, that means the air has 82% of the moisture is is capable of holding at 13 degrees. It’s dry but it’s a wet dry. If you know what I mean. (I learned that in school a hundred - or wait - just fifty (plus) years ago. It stuck.)

Well, the Buick is still not happy. Jim is going to take me to work this morning because he needs the truck to take the old hay baler - the green thing in yesterday’s picture to Strawberry Point - yes they do have a giant fiberglass STRAWBERRY on a pole by the city hall. He has bought a new to him baler and is taking the old one in to be sold at auction and is bringing the new one home.

The baler was in the picture because he had power-washed it on Wednesday of last week which was a relatively warm day. That’s the day I washed the Buick at the car wash and started it’s down hill roll.

Last night it was running and the new heater fan motor had been installed. I proposed a test drive to town to buy supper. I had been wanting Chinese but I compromised on a chef’s salad from the pizza place. I took Jim’s cell phone in case I had car trouble and he stayed home.

I didn’t really have car trouble but the add coolant light came on and the temp gauge went higher than usual. I told Jim when I got home and he went out to put more coolant in and it took a lot and he looked at where it had been parked in the yard and there was a puddle of coolant. So.......

The Buick has other issues. It just passed 140,000 miles and has been really dependable since we bought it with around 50,000 miles. It runs beautifully. It’s a nice car. I hope it gets its act together. Larre the mechanic is the next step.

Other than car trouble, the weekend was pretty calm.

I played with the fitbit. I brought in wood and walked up and down the cellar steps mainly. Not sure why I didn’t go for a walk but I didn’t. It makes a fascinating bar graph of your steps/activity in fifteen minute increments during the day. It’s fun to see what you were doing or weren’t doing during the day. I’ll tell you what -= the hours spent in front of a computer do not generate much activity on your fitbit graph.

Hours this week are 5 to 3:30 Monday through Thursday. We are supposed to work Friday as well - same hours- but I have a doctor’s appointment and I guess I’m going to go to the doctor. I feel pretty good and I’d really like to have the extra money.... but I suppose I should keep the doctor’s appointment. Today I get to finish a nice job that I started Saturday. I kind of look forward to it.

Pic is from January last year. We had more snow last year. A more serious winter all together.
