Doris and I saw the movie, 50 Shades of Grey Saturday night. We went to dinner first and then the show and it was lucky we did as I had pre-bought the tickets and had reserved seats. The theatre was full. EDIT Last week one of my FB Friends thought it would be fun to go to this movie and throw some mayo on the people in front of us clothing as we exited.

As far as the movie went I thought it was just filmed to capitalize on the prurient interest of movie goers on the book. I have not read the first of the trilogy nor do I have any interest in do so.

The movie to me was about a warped individual who used his fortune to debase and seduce the weakest of a pack similar as to how predators in the wild act. Then he insist that his selection sign a contract of submission allowing them if they follow his rules ( never touch him) never sleep with him and never disclose his sexual actions. The primary female lead was gifted with a new car and then was handed the contract.

I thought that movie detailed a pattern of abuse on women and rather than cause jealousy on my part it disgusted me.

The acting was flat at best but that was ok with me. I wish that I was not enticed by all the hype and had gone to see Still Alice or something else.. Sunday morning awakening with Doris to me was the bonus of our relationship.

Leaving the theatre in a crown Doris told me that if I would buy her a new auto she would sign the contract. This was said loud enough that that many others would hear the remark.
