It was a very long trip to Whistler which took us 6 hours of driving. My sister wanted to do all the driving. So, I sat back and enjoyed the ride. She says that she is the better driver. I do agree with this comment. I'm not the best driver, I get very freaked out with driving in city traffic-especially in Seattle traffic. Remember, I'm a mountain girl. I 'm definitely not a city slicker.
I was thankful that she was more than happy to do all the driving. She really enjoyed driving my escape. We mostly played Pandora on the way to Canada, but I remember my husband warning me about not using up too much of my data
We did a lot of singing along to our favorite songs, Journey, AC/DC, Areosmith, Van Halen, Yes, we are old rockers you could say.
It was quite dark when we arrived at Montebello , my sister Chari's house. When my sister is not in town they rent it out. It really is a beautiful place . Last night we celebrated with a bottle of wine my sister, Chari, left for us. We sat outside and took in the beauty of it all. There is a little bit of snow on the ground here and there but no falling snow yet.
We decided to buy groceries at a place called Lester. We spent $140 on food items. Celine likes a lot of organic foods. I know that organic food is more expensive. We decided to split the bill in half to be fair.
Oh, and I had a major, MAJOR problem. My debit card didn't work. Can you imagine how embarrassing that was for me. I knew I had money in the bank, but the cashier wasn't able to process the payment.....Well come to find out That Bank of America suspended my account due to irregular activity. I guess the bank didn't factor in that I was going to Whistler, Canada for a week.
What a mess! Hopefully there will be no more stress for me.

I had that happen to me after I renewed a subscription to a magazine. I asked the store clerk to use the phone, called the number on the card, and it was all fixed within a few minutes.
