Cyclone Marcia washed up a shark! in Holy Shit!

Haha, well the cyclone is still up north, and has been degraded to a Category 2. It did cross the coast as a category 5 however, and caused massive damage to many homes on the central coast :( Some of the footage showed a wall of a house just peeling off the side of it as though it was being sliced by a knife. That was in Yeppoon.

The SES (State Emergency Service) has had over 3000 calls for help. What’s interesting is that 1000 of those calls have been from my city here in Brisbane. That doesn’t even make sense! It’s just been raining here non-stop really, so I really don’t know what people are whinging about (yet anyway).

It’s still 500 kilometers away, which is why I don’t get why Brisbane people are bitching to the SES. Those poor guys have enough trouble to deal with up north, where there isn’t a street where a house hasn’t been destroyed or damaged. Some poor woman on the news was crying :(

It’s only been slightly windy here at the moment, but the weather people are saying our wet weather isn’t associated with the cyclone. I find that hard to believe. There’s still a hell of a lot of rain on the way.
